We would like to see the SMS endpoints within the Avaya AES server to support REST calls rather than XML. The XML endpoints are very cumbersome to use and error prone. Most newer web developers do not know how to interact with XML/WebService based endpoints, so recruiting developers to work on projects that involve it is difficult. Suggestion is to allow developers to interact with AES with REST web calls in addition to XML calls. Also, complete compatibility with all CM features (for example, only a small subset of commands are supported), so developers do not need to do direct calls via OSSI to CM based servers.
