J100 Series SIP Phone boot-up procedure accurate status/activity display

When using H.323 and a phone boots up, it shows you exactly what it's doing when it's doing it (eg it shows that when it is retrieving a software file and that it is connecting to the HTTP server (and what server it connects to etc).
When using a SIP phone if it boots up and needs to download software it just sits at "Waiting for DHCP..." which is completely misleading, because it is actually NOT waiting for DHCP but rather it is actively downloading a *.bin file ready to upgrade, but this is not represented to the user. The user thinks that it is 'stuck' and so may reboot the device before it successfully gets the file.
I think the J100 phones should show better status/activity display to the user on boot up. this would make managing/troubleshooting it much easier.
