Hello,
It would be great to have an option to suppress the softphone from taking focus/opening up/going into the foreground without userinput.
We checked for configuration and could not find anything to alter this behavior. In addition we opened a ticket with our vendor and they checked the settings as well, stating that an option like this does not exist (hence the featurerequest).
To clarify: We are experiencing unwanted behavior with our softphone Avaya Workplace on Windows 11. Most users control their deskphone with the softclient when they are in office and use the desktop mode when at home.
Due to this, whenever the User is called (while controlling the deskphone through workplace), makes a call/dials from his Deskphone or simply lifts the receiver of the station, Avaya Workplace pops into the foreground and takes focus.
Might sound like a minor inconvenience but accidently showing your call history while presenting is a concern.
We tried suppressing the application through the RegistryKey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout = 30d40
But apparently Voip-Software ignores the registrykey.
Best regards
