51 - Add Native support for Avaya Conference Units (e.g. B189)

Looking through the new release of Avaya Aura R8, I notice that Avaya has added native support to all the J Series phones, but didn't add support for the Avaya Conference Units (e.g. B189). Is this an oversight? Could the next releases include these for Native Support (Especially the "Required buttons on the B189).

The B189 is end of sale, but Avaya as of 10.2 has native support for B199 conferencing device.

Obviously this did not end up happening in 1H 2021, but we are still actively discussing this request. It is a function of System Manager, not the endpoints themselves, and Avaya recognizes there are new devices they need to provide native templates for in System Manager. Our team is looking at the early part of 2022 to see if this gets implemented in the Spring release, or at least have news about it. Thank you for your patience!

On Avaya's roadmap is a requirement which will allow an administrator to create a set type by following a Generic template and assign attributes to these devices. Target introduction 1H 2021
