CHRIS GARCIA, we're going through some older requests. Is Flash still an issue in the current release of CMS? We're asking Avaya as well. Thanks.
CHRIS GARCIA
Chip Powell: I haven't noticed any issues using the CMS web portal through Edge, and I am not seeing the pop-up messages about Flash any more. CMS server release:
cms-R19.2.0.1-Lgc.f
CMS web client release:
cmsweb-R19.2.0.1-web19gc.f
Build Version:
19.2.0 2655

CHRIS GARCIA This request is similar to FR #21. Are either of these resolved?

Adobe Flash was removed with SMGR 7.1.1

FR# 50 - Sent to Avaya 3/5/20
CHRIS GARCIA
Chip Powell: Thanks for the update on Adobe Flash.
Rob Carmichael
Chip Powell: I suggest this one is closest on the basis on Bob's confirmation that Flash is already removed. The recommendation for anyone on SMGR 7.0 is to upgrade to SMGR 8.1
CHRIS GARCIA
Flash is still used in CMS Web for the r19 server as well.
Sam Osheroff
CHRIS GARCIA: That's disappointing. We're about to upgrade to CMS r19 and had hoped to mostly do away with the thick client. Might be a lot harder if flash is still required.
Lynn Gilberg
Sam: I am on 8.0.1. Our concern is that we get flash warnings when trying to use Aura Messaging web access.

Lynn Gilberg: Aura Messaging is no longer getting feature updates. So you might be out of luck on this one. If you have current maintenance and upgrade support, Avaya has a program for you to upgrade your licensing to OfficeLinx / IX Messaging. IX Messaging uses HTML5 (and a much better interface) for mailboxes.
Sam Osheroff
I'm using SMGR 8.1 and not seeing the flash warnings in Chrome. Do you plan to upgrade to 8.x?
CHRIS GARCIA
Sam Osheroff: We are planning to upgrade, but Flash is used in multiple places. Glad to hear it is no longer part of System Manager.

Also, will they be replacing the "Live reporting" features to a HTML5 base instead of using Flash? Our University will not support flash as several browsers are doing away with support eventually, Chrome being one of them. I know that you can select a way around this in options, but its a short term fix.
CHRIS GARCIA
Michael Forbes: Live Reporting in what platform? CMS, or something else?
