45 - SLAMON QoS (UDP ports) testing between devices is not adjustable

Because the SLA MON tool has "set" UDP ports of 50012 & 50013, used to test QoS between devices, it is not usable on most company networks.
The “UDP ports 50012 & 50013” are within the Ephemeral port range of most Linux and all Windows machines. We cannot permit this marking. The application should have its value set to a UDP port within the already VoIP ranges to really simulate VoIP; 16384-32766. The application either needs re-written to use the correct port or maybe it has a registry setting value in the application that can be changed.

We are considering a user-configurable port range.

The 46xxSettings.txt has a hint about changing the ports. Look at the settings SLMPORT and SLMSRVR. The file it references is on your SLAMon server under /<installroot>/avaya/slamon/bundleconf
