408 - Remote IP Office Management
Aaron Dyck
Avaya previously had a product called Avaya VPN Gateway that could be used to connect IP Office systems to a centrally managed server using an SSL VPN. Unfortunately Avaya has discontinued this product. I would like to see a new solution that allows remote access over the Internet without exposing the IP Office directly, similar to the functionality of the AVG.

Aaron Dyck Just to clarify things: How are these remote locations otherwise connected? How do you manage other devices at those locations? In general, I'd expect management of remote IP Office systems to use the same connectivity used to allow all these offices to talk to each other. Reading into your request though, it sounds like these locations just have internet access, probably using consumer internet.
If you're looking for a direct replacement of the Avaya VPN Gateway, there are many other products available to provide VPN connectivity (IPSec tunnel). It's possible the router or security appliance you already have in your central office can be a VPN host.
