387 - Workplace should display/log original caller's ID instead of transferring party
declined
Sam Osheroff
Currently for calls transferred to a BCA that rings on Workplace (3.38.1), Workplace displays, on Answer/Decline dialog and in the call log, the transferring party's number instead of the original caller's number, even for blind transfers where the transferring party has completed the call. If the call is answered, Workplace does update to show the original caller's ID. However, while ringing and what is logged, regardless of whether you answer or not, is the transferring party's ID, even though the transferring party completed the transfer. This behavior is different than the desk phone (96x1 SIP and J179) but per SR 1-22958052492, working as designed.

Per Avaya: Workplace is working as designed, and they do not currently have plans to change this behavior. The call log and display logic reflect how the Workplace client processes transferred calls. While they understand the alternate behavior seen on SIP desk phones may be preferred in some environments, implementing such changes would require broader updates to the underlying call signaling and is not planned at this stage.
