382 - Busy in and out of Coverage Answer Group

I’d like to request more flexibility for coverage answer groups—specifically, the ability for users to join or leave the group from their soft clients or desk phones, similar to the “busy out” option in hunt groups. Currently, that control isn’t available, but it would be a valuable improvement. Our teams want all employees to ring, but also need the flexibility for individuals to opt out when needed.

Ideally a way to display presence status and manage it + saving it to trans similary to other vendors would be optimal.

Hi Dave. In this scenario, do you still want DID calls to ring through when an employees remove themselves from the CAG?

Mark Aflleje Yes, similar to the busy out for a hunt group. You would still receive direct calls to your extension and transferred calls, but you'll no longer receive calls to the coverage answer group.
