192 - Avaya Messaging - Send MWI OFF on mailbox delete

Change Avaya Messaging to send MWI OFF when a mailbox is deleted. Per SOLN359354 , currently when you delete a mailbox that still has an unread message, AM sends MWI ON. This requires a clear amw all command to be sent before the station can be deleted in CM. It makes no sense to send an MWI ON when the mailbox is being deleted. There are no messages waiting if the mailbox does not exist.
Avaya Responses
Avaya will revisit this request in May, 2024.

Can I suggest that this option be made configurable and not an "always" situation? MWIs are used by other systems, though very rarely. I doubt anyone is using things like CM's LWC anymore, but it'd be nice to consider that the features still exist if the above suggestion makes it in.
I had the same frustrations as you did with MM and AAM, and I agree it would make for a good feature.

This has been an issue not with just avaya but also Siemens/Unify Phones as well. It could be incorporated within code to "send off notice to device upon deletion" I would think it should be an easy code addition to send.
