184 - Update Multimedia VM & FX for MSGraph Microsoft OAuth security protocol
complete
Kevin Schmaltz
AACC v7.1.2 added “Credentials” configuration to Emails in CCMM Administration. This allows the “Recipient Addresses” to point to MSFT Exchange Cloud (MS Graph) and use OAuth Credentials that were set up in Azure. Avaya DID NOT set up the same configurations for the Voicemail (VM_) mailboxes and Fax (FX_) mailboxes. Both our VM_ and FX_ setups point to the same Exchange Cloud tenant. I can use the Credentials for our OAuth Azure tenant, but I can't point either the Inbound or Outbound Server to the MSGraph, I'm limited to the IMAP and/or POP3/SSL. Microsoft is dumping IMAP and POP3/SSL in October. We logged a ticket that got escalated to Avaya and we’re being told the lack of VM_ and FX_ setup is “Design Intent”. To rework all of the VM_ & FX_ configurations to be 'email' emails is untenable. It would blow up our skillsets, reports, filters, realtime displays, etc. The VM & FX setups need to come into line with the EM setups. Quickly.

Please refer to this PSN:
CCMM_7.1.2.0.63 with PSN006119u covers Deprecation of Basic Authentication in Exchange Online on 1 Oct etc
The customer can now update those mailbox types moving from legacy POP/IMAPSMTP to use MSGraph because that’s essential since Microsoft has deprecated those services at O365.
New change : AACC/ACCS supports OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Graph API (MSGraph)
Not changed: AACC/ACCS does not support OAuth 2.0 for IMAP/POP/SMTP protocols.

Chip Powell, For the most part, yes. We only use email (EM_) for all of our multimedia components including fax and voicemail so we were not affected as is shown in this article.

Patrick Jones: Thank you

Patrick Jones, is this what we were discussing in our chapter meeting the other day? Did you find this was fixed in the latest AACC patch?
